Lion Dance

Lion, the king of animal symbolized daring and brave. Thousand years ago during the Han Dynasty, the qualities and characteristic of lion was impressed by the emperor, Majesty Han Wu Ti. However, lion did not exist in China. The story about lion only spreading in China from India through Buddhism. Due to great impression of the emperor towards the animal, lion dance was started as a performance in palace. It was performed by 2 person wearing masks of lion. Many years later along with cultural change, lion dance was divided into two groups, the Northern and Southern lions.
Northern Lion Dance
The Northern Lions looks pretty much like a Peking dog, with its whole body covered with long fur. The Northern Lion normally perform in pairs with another person holding a ball for the pair of lion to chase after. Sometimes, to make things more exciting, two lion kids will join in to perform together with the two adult Lions. The pair of adult Northern Lions is made up of a female and male. The gender is differentiated by the colour of their fur, where green for female, red for male.
The Northern Lion Dance shows a very active, happy and playful movement. In their performance, they will joyously and actively chase after the ball, leaping over tables, chairs and rolling over.
Southern Lion Dance
The Southern Lions have a single horn, and is associated with the legend of a mythical monster called Nian. Southern Lion Dance requires power in moves and strength in posture, mainly for a lot of stunts. It was created by kungfu schools and not only practise as performance, but also competition with another schools. Southern Lions perform more dangerous stunts compared to Northern Lions such as jumping on poles, climbing and standing on two legs. Not only dangerous, Southern Lion Dance requires synchronization between footwork of both performers as the dance steps are much more complicated.

Nowadays, Southern Lion Dance are more popular especially in Malaysia. It often performed during Chinese New Year and also opening ceremony of some special events among Chinese society. Malaysia had also won the International Lion Dance Championship for four times since 2004.

ARE YOU DAUNTLESS ENOUGH? FACE YOUR FEARS : LIST OF 10 COMMON PHOBIA

Before I sleep at night, I would spend at least an hour staring at the ceiling to mull over and ponder about things. It sounds like a too slumber and  waste of time but I always do dream consciously while lying in bed and do feel being in my own cloud cuckoo land. Wasting time and idling might sound so crazy but this craziness have led me making a blog about "FEARS and PHOBIA"

A Japanese proverb says "Fear is as only as deep as minds allow" this is a common saying of people I always do encounter with, hearing them always say "Fight fear because it is only an illusion and creation of your own mind." "You only feel afraid as your mind makes up to be" and so on. Now it makes me wonder, Is there any person living in the face of the world without any fear? Is having fear a bizarre and peculiar thing? How about you? If you are living with such fear or phobia, do you have strong guts and courage to overcome and face it?

Wikipedia defines" PHOBIA as a type of anxiety order, persistent fear of an object or situation in which the sufferers commits to great lengths avoiding, typically disproportional to the actual danger posed, often being recognized as irrational."

1. AQUAPHOBIA "FEAR OF DEEP WATER"

2. AILUROPHOBIA "FEAR OF CATS"

3. KATSARIDAPHOBIA "FEAR OF COCKROACHES"

4. THANATOPHOBIA "FEAR OF DEATH"

5. MONOPHOBIA "FEAR OF BEING ALONE"

6. ATYCHIPHOBIA "FEAR OF FAILURE"

m

7. GYNOPHOBIA & ANDROPHOBIA "FEAR OF WOMEN & MEN"

8. MYSOPHOBIA "FEAR OF DIRT"

Broga Trip

Broga is a small town that sits on the border of Selangor and Negeri Sembilan in Malaysia. It is situated 50 kilometres (31 mi) from Kuala Lumpur and approximately 33 kilometres from Seremban, the capital of Negeri Sembilan.

Broga Hill is frequented by casual hikers. It is approximately 400m in altitude and is easily climbed by most people. The hilltop is unique as it is rather devoid of trees, which is an uncommon sight amongst tropical rainforest. Remnants of burnt out tree trunks indicate that the area may have been ravaged by a forest fire and the trees did not regrow. It offers a good view of the surrounding area and has become a popular picnic and photography spot.

Broga is surrounded by the lush green hills of a tropical rainforest and sits on the edge of the Titiwangsa Range.

We headed to broga hill on saturday morning. As soon we arrived there, we streched our muscle up and start hiking!  It was such a great weekend outdoor activity!

CLASH OF CLANS GUIDE

CLASH OF CLANS

What is Clash of Clan actually? Clash of Clans is a mobile MMO strategy video game developed and published by SUPERCELL. The game was released for iOS and Android platform. In ALAM, there also many student that play and addicted to this mobile online games. Now I will guide the beginner that what should you do to become a professional player in this game.

  • Choose players that suit the clan's goals i.e, social, gaining trophies, top 50, troop donation etc.

  • Choose elder with caution, don't be too hasty to promote members. Remember elders can kick out members!

  • Be prepared to donate troops, it is integral part of belonging to a clan.

  • Find out which troops your fellow clan members prefer and do your best to oblige.

  • Nurture the lower level members of your clan, give them advice and help them to develop as player.

  • Don't use elder promotion as a recruiting tool; you’ll more than likely only attract players you’d rather avoid.

  • Make your clan description clear and to the point, it’s all potential members have to gauge what your clan is about when looking to join.

  • To increase your member numbers considering using the ‘anyone can join’ status for your clan and the ‘invite only’ or ‘closed’ status if your clan is full or nearing 50 members.

  • It’s best to turn your clan to ‘invite only’ when your clan turns into 45 members (so you can be advertised on the ‘join clan’ tab).

  • Choose your co-leaders with caution, as they can change almost everything in your clan info and kick out elders and members.

  • Ask high-ranking members to advertise for your clan, as these players are desirable clanmates and will tend to encourage more people to join your clan.

  • Choose players with the same time zones to prevent an inactive guild in such time.

Do contact me if there any curious regarding this game. I am also one of the Clash of Clan players. And if you also one of us, do not hesitate to find me at Clan “ALAM MELAKA”. You can be my clans mate or maybe my clan enemy. That’s all from me, good luck have fun all.
